Well, we had another doctors appointment on Friday that went well. Baby's heart rate was 150! We got the scripts for our 2nd trimester ultrasound and our fetal echo, and they are both scheduled for Dec. 27th. We will certainly be happy when those are over with!!! Fortunately we got in with the same doctor who found Evan's heart defect...I sort of insisted that he be the one to do the echo when I was making the appointment, and although he is quite a busy man, they found a way to get me in. So that will be the big day when we find out if we'll be giving Evan a brother or sister and hopefully finding out that his/her heart is AOK!
There really isn't too much else going on. Greg had another academic competition to go to on Saturday, this time in Erie. One of his kids earned a medal in the essay portion which was awesome! I am trying to clean out the house just because it's a disaster and I am finally getting some energy back (although not as much as I want). This week we'll be spending Thanksgiving with the Campbells and then heading to Carlisle to visit my mom's side of the family. It should be fun...I just wish gas prices were about $2 cheaper!
I've been missing my little man a lot lately, and I hope that he is having the BEST Thanksgiving dinner in heaven this week. We certainly miss him here, and are extremely thankful for the time we had with him. We are very blessed to have been given such a special little boy, and although it is hard everyday without him, we are glad that he is feeling joy, happiness and peace in heaven. We are also thankful for our Grammy Rylander, Grandpa Fetterman, Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Brian, Uncle Rex, Herbie & Elaine, who (we hope) are all enjoying that delicious meal in heaven with Evan. We love and miss each one of them very much.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Remember how precious life is, and how blessed you are to have the wonderful people in your lives that you do. And please do not forget about the children & their families who must spend Thanksgiving in the hospital. We are thankful for each one of the doctors and nurses who dedicate their lives to helping these kids.
Love you all, and eat well!
