I know I am terrible at updating this, and I wouldn't be surprised if no one came to this website anymore!  But we're keeping it going anyway, because if nothing else, we have valuable information about CHDs, and I know that I have met a few people out there who have come across our site looking up information. 

ANYWAY, our Cara had her first birthday on the 19th!  I can't believe it's been a year since we welcomed her into the family.  She even took her first steps 3 days before she turned one!  I think she just wanted to be able to show off at her party.  :)  We had her party at the Verner family lake, and it was awesome!  I bet there were 60 people there, and we got another beautiful day (thanks to my bubba once again). 

Things here have been hectic and busy, mostly in good ways.  I certainly still think about and miss my Evan everyday, and planning Cara's birthday party was so joyous with a tinge of pain.  I just wish I could have done the same for Evan 2 years ago.  But I know that he was with us on her birthday and at her party.  He still gives me signs, and I still love them.  :)

We have a busy summer coming up once again and are looking forward to everything we have planned.  Summer should just last longer, ya know?  It's too hard to cram everything outdoorsy into 3 months!
