Well, in six days we will hold our first spaghetti dinner fund raising event, and we are very nervous and excited for it!  It has taken a lot of planning, and I just hope that we don't forget something vitally important!  Anyway, it's on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Central Volunteer Fire Hall in Elizabeth, PA and runs from 4-9 PM...we would love to see you there!  All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association in memory of Evan.  Like I needed to tell you that.  :-)  There will be Chinese Auctions (consisting of a Steelers basket, a car care basket (with a hefty gasoline gift card), $50 TGI Fridays gift certificate, $25 scratch off lotto basket, Pampered Chef basket, Tastefully Simple basket, a Steelers gaming chair, a Webkins basket, a pasta basket and a couple of floral arrangements to be given away.  Plus, the good old 50/50.  See how much fun we'll have????  So come fill your bellies and support our good cause!

Things have been super busy getting ready for the big event, so it's tough to get on here and update everyone!  Cara is growing like a weed.  I don't know how to say it any differently.  We have been going to a new church the last several weeks, and most people think she is 6 months old!  She is over 16 pounds now, and I believe that puts her above the 90th percentile!  She is starting to stick everything in her mouth and is getting crankier through the days, and we are suspecting a tooth might be on its way out.  It would be nice to find a teething ring that didn't seem too big for her little mouth, but I haven't had any success there.  We took the picture above today, and so far it is my favorite family picture of the FOUR of us...notice Cara's shirt...her daddy bought her a shirt with Evan's picture on it (he's wearing his Steelers jersey), so it is now Cara's game day shirt!  Evan watched all of the games with us in 2006, even while in the hospital.  He was drawn to the tv when they were on...and Cara too is drawn to them.  And I can see so much of him in her when she wears it.  They are just the two cutest kids ever!!!

Well, I am sure I will update with details on how everything goes...thank you all for your support whether it;s through showing up, donating, praying or encouraging us!!!  We hope it goes well!
