Well, it's only taken me 3 months to get on here and talk about the Heart Walk! So here are the updates on what is going on:
We are holding a
spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Central Fire Hall in Elizabeth, PA on September 20. It will be held from 4-9 pm and the dinner will include spaghetti (or maybe ziti), salad, italian bread, drinks and dessert. Cost is as follows: $8/adult, $5/kids 12 and under, and FREE for kids 3 and under. We will hold a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese Auction where you have the chance to win a lot of great prizes! Anyone who is willing to help will eat free. We need help with desserts and donations. We're getting down to the wire here, so any and all help would be appreciated. I will put directions to the fire hall on the website soon.
Right now we have about 14 or 15 people on our team. We would like that number to grow a lot! If you register online to become a team member by September 4, you will be eneterd into a drawing to possibly win 4 tickets to the Steelers/Browns game (with a parking pass) on December 28 at Heinz Field! So sign up soon for that chance!!!
And finally (for now), we will be ordering new t-shirts for the walk this year. Unfortunately I haven't been too "on the ball" with this, so it's going to cost a little more for usthis year and we can't afford to buy shirts for everyone. We DO NOT expect anyone to buy a shirt, but if you are interested, the short sleeve t-shirts cost $9.50 for white and $10.00 for gray. The long sleeve t-shirts are $14.50 for white and $19.50 for black. We need to know by September 20 (the same day as the spaghetti dinner so you can tell us there too, hint hint!) in order to get them in time. To see the designs,
