Two years ago Evan had his first open heart surgery.  All of the memories have flooded back, and I remember holding Evan so tight in my arms not wanting them to take him away for surgery.  I know the surgery went well, but it seems harder to remember now knowing that he would eventually pass on. 

This morning on Good Morning America there was a story about a team of cardiac surgeons who flew to Ghana to provide free cardiac care to a dozen children born with heart defects.  It was an amazing story, and so fitting to be aired on the anniversary of Evan's surgery.  We believe our buddy is showing us he's still here with us.
